brand new out of the box . shuts off after five minutes. Multiple contacts with customer service. Promised a replacement. So far nothing. Asked a service rep to speak with a manager and she hung up on me! I not received any email or confirmation of any action

I have use Frigidaire dehumidifiers for close to 20 years. This version has the largest water bucket. This unit pulls water out of the air fast. The volume is as loud as expected, but it is a smooth sound - no rattles, whistles, etc.The air filter is easier to clean and a fine enough mesh to keep dust and hair out.

Large basement which can smell from dampness. So far this 50 pint seems to be doing the job. Haven™™t had it too long but it seems to have cut back on the musty smell which permeated the stairs to upstairs.

I™™ve owned this one for just under one week and it™™s been performing as it should. This is my third one of this model. The first failed just out of warranty and the second did the same except I had purchased a three year extended warranty and it™™s going back for service or replacement.

I'll withhold final judgment till I've had this dehumidifier for at least a year, but so far it is meeting all my expectations: quiet, easy to clean, removes moisture rapidly from large, damp basement, and all the features seem to be working. The thermostat isn't precise, but I can correct for this simply by keeping a separate humidistat nearby and correcting the dehumidifier setting accordingly.

I tried out 3 other models from other manufacturers that I had to return as they were either too small, too loud, or didn't collect any moisture at all. I guess the saying now goes 4th time is the charm. This one is just right

I just purchased this new unit after our 3.5 year old Frigidaire unit (almost identical model) stopped functioning properly - that is, the older unit only went into the Fast & Medium speed (low didn™™t work), and the unit started to ice up despite cleaning the filter in the back of the unit. We really liked the older unit, so chose to purchase another Frigidaire unit. We chose to purchase the extended warranty offered by Abt for a total of 4 years coverage in the event this newer model stopped working in the future. We have a hose connected to the unit, so we do not use the internal ™bucket™™¦ within one day, the humidity in the basement dropped 5-10%, so we are confident it is pulling 5+ gallons of water / day from the air. The unit is very quiet and is small enough that it doesn™™t take up too much room. I gave this a 4/5 star rating only because the older unit lasted less than 4 years, and we have only had this newer model for 2 days, so we do not know how this will function moving forward.

This is my second replacement for my original purchase in 2021. The first two kept icing up. Although I had an extended warranty until 2027, they said it was not valid on the first replacement. After writing to US headquarters, I was issued a new contract and expected a replacement.After several weeks, I was told that the model was no longer in stock, discontinued and then told that my extended warranty was voided. I then wrote to the CEO of Electrolux in Sweden and when I called the local number, I was told that a replacement was going to be sent, which was the ™discontinued, out of stock, model.I did receive the replacement, but probably will not be purchasing any Frigidaire products in the future.

I had no idea the humidity in my sunroom was so high. I kept finding mildew developing on the ceiling during summers. This dehumidifier needs to be emptied everyday, so it is doing its job. No more mildew on the ceiling!

I live in Florida and humidity is always high. I bought one a few years ago. Then hurricane Milton hit and my A/C was out for a week. The humidity was in the high 70's.So, I purchased another Frigidaire to have two. The portable AC I was using does not dehumidify. If you do not dehumidify your home you will have mold. My neighbor is $100,000 into black mold remediation inside her house. I use one of the dehumidifier in the house and the other one in the garage. They keep the humidity under 50%.

This is the 2nd Frigidaire dehumidifier I have bought and they work fantastic. Had 1 in Pennsylvania for 7 yrs., moved to Las Vegas, didn't need it anymore, gave to a friend. Moved back to Pa. and bought another for my basement, man cave. Again it is working fantastic. Does the job.

My husband and I argued over the brand of a needed new dehumidifier. He wanted the Frigidaire and I wanted the HOmeLabs . We researched both models, and still could not agree. We decided, in Biblical style, to draw lots. Frigidaire won! After ordering the Frigidaire from Amazon, a couple appliance nerds informed us the Frigidaire was better built than the HOmeLabs. I have been running the Frigidaire dehumidifier for about a week ow, and I am very impressed with the unit. Although the black top makes the unit look more industrial than sleek, we don't mind, because it is located in our basement. The unit works wonderfully: dutifully turning off when it reaches the desired humidity setting. Our old dehumidifier never turned off and just kept running 24/7. We love that the Frigidaire model accepts a regular garden hose. We use a 15 foot one that can reach the drain, but we like how we can attach a longer hose if we need to place the dehumidifier on the other side of the basement. We keep the fan set at high speed, and even at that level, the Frigidaire is quieter than our 15-year old dehumidifier. I think the old dehumidifier was no longer removing all the wanted moisture out of the air, and so we would smell a slight damp smell from time to time. I have not had any odor whatsoever with the Frigidaire. It is still new and we have not had rain for about 10 days, so we shall see how things go the next time it rains. All in all, we are enjoying our new, quiet, energy-saving Frigidaire. My husband is certainly happy, and I am a happy convert to the Frigidaire brand. Also, I contacted Frigidaire customer support, because I happen to be in the basement when the dehumidifier was running. The selected humidity level was attained, yet the system was still running. Contacting customer support was easy and the representative told me it takes about 3 to 5 minutes after the selected humidity reading is reached for the machine to shut off. Sure enough, the Frigidaire shut off while I was talking to the rep. So, on top of a great appliance, Frigidaire has easy to reach and effective customer support.

This unit reduced the humidity in my approximately 1,300 sq ft basement quickly! I have about 900sq ft of finished basement and the other 400™™ish as storage. I placed the dehumidifier by the door on the unfinished side with a direct hose to drain, perfect! Thought I might need two dehumidifiers but one does it all!

My previous dehumidifier had too many options, making it very complicated and difficult. The Frigidaire Dehumidifier is easy to set up and use. No fancy wifi connections; just a hardworking unit. The filter is easily accessible for regular cleaning. Noise is minimal, too.
